Castleton impressed OFSTED

We had a good day with the OFSTED inspector yesterday. He met lots of children, staff and parents and heard very positive comments about the school from all of them.
He was impressed by everything he saw and said the school was working hard to 'unlock the potential' of all the children.
Thank you for all your support.
You will be able to see the full report within 3 weeks.

Now collecting! Sainsburys and Tescos vouchers

We are now registered for both Tesco and Sainsburys tokens for school.
Please help us to collect the vouchers so that we can enhance our sporting & ICT facilities at Castleton. If you can ask your family and friends to collect them too, that would be great!
Simply send them in with your children to their class teacher.
Thank you!

Hustlers Raise Money for Lineham Farm

Mr Jones's Basketball Team, The Horsforth Hustlers, travelled to Lincoln at the weekend to play in a charity basketball match. Mr Darnell made a guest appearance for the Hustlers, but due to his lack of fitness only mangage 3 minutes on court. Unfortunately, the Hustlers lost the match 52-67 but we hope to have raised lots of money for Lineham Farm.
Football News
The last game was the tournament decider between Castleton and 5 Lanes who were both on 5 points. With only 2 minutes to go James crossed the ball into the box for Brandon to tap home the winning goal, which meant Castleton topped the league with 8 points, 5 Lanes and St Barts came joint 2nd with 6 points each and Whingate 3rd with 4 points.
Well done everybody who took part.

Castleton wows Chris
"We are lucky here in Leeds to have some outstanding schools... and I am incredibly lucky because I am able to visit so many of them.
My visit today to Castleton Primary School was brilliant... it really lifted my spirits. Castleton Primary School is a fantastic place... the biggest breakfast club I have ever seen and an incredibly talented team of colleagues releasing a very special kind of Castleton magic.
The school certainly has the WOW factor!
Thank you."
